Miki Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Miki”) hereby extends a limited lifetime warranty (the “Warranty”) to the original purchaser (the “Purchaser”) of Miki products. This Warranty guarantees that the product shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, as defined herein, for the duration of the Purchaser’s ownership of the product. This Warranty is explicitly non-transferable and shall immediately become null and void upon any transfer of ownership or possession of the product.

For the purposes of this Warranty, “normal use” shall be construed as:

• a) Usage that aligns with the product’s intended purpose as explicitly stated in Miki’s product documentation;
• b) Adherence to standard operating conditions as prescribed by Miki;
• c) Proper handling and storage in accordance with the product’s care instructions;
• d) Strict compliance with all maintenance guidelines provided by Miki. Purchaser must maintain detailed records of all product maintenance and care.

Any usage that deviates from these parameters may, at Miki’s sole discretion, result in the invalidation of this Warranty.

This Warranty expressly excludes coverage for:

• a) Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual deterioration resulting from regular use over time, which does not materially affect the product’s functionality.
• b) Cosmetic Blemishes: Non-functional aesthetic issues that do not impair the product’s performance. Such claims must be submitted within one (1) year of the purchase date.
• c) Misuse or Abuse: Any damage resulting from negligence, accidents, or improper handling as determined by Miki’s inspection team.
• d) Improper Maintenance: Issues arising from failure to adhere to Miki’s prescribed care instructions.
• e) Unauthorized Repairs or Alterations: Any modifications or repairs not performed by Miki or its authorized representatives.
• f) Post-Shipment Modifications: Any changes made to the product after its initial shipment from Miki.
• g) Environmental Damage: Harm caused by exposure to extreme conditions, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, or chemical exposure.

To be eligible for warranty service, the following conditions must be met:

• a) Authorized Purchase: The product must have been purchased from an authorized Miki dealer.
• b) Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase, such as the original receipt or invoice, must be provided upon request.
• c) Inspection Approval: Miki reserves the unilateral right to inspect all products for defect determination and warranty eligibility.

All warranty claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovering the defect. Claims submitted after this period may be denied at Miki’s discretion

To initiate a warranty claim:

• a) The Purchaser must contact the original Miki Dealer of purchase within a reasonable time frame upon discovering the alleged defect.
• b) The Purchaser shall provide a detailed written description of the issue, including photographic evidence if applicable.
• c) The Purchaser shall ship the product, at their own expense, to the designated Miki inspection facility, including:
• i. Proof of purchase
• ii. Completed warranty claim form
• iii. Customer contact information

For Purchasers outside of Japan, warranty claims must be directed to the local Authorized Miki Distributor. The Purchaser shall bear all shipping, handling, and insurance costs associated with sending the product for inspection. These costs shall only be reimbursed if the warranty claim is approved by Miki.

Miki reserves the right to request additional evidence or documentation to support the claim.

Upon receipt of the product:

• a) Miki shall conduct a thorough inspection to determine warranty eligibility.
• b) If the claim is approved, the inspection fee shall be waived, and Miki shall cover return shipping costs.
• c) If the claim is denied, the Purchaser shall be responsible for all costs, including the inspection fee and return shipping.

Additional restrictions or fees may apply for international warranty claims.

Miki’s sole responsibility under this Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing the defective product, at Miki’s sole discretion. Under no circumstances shall Miki or its authorized dealers be liable for:

• a) Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• b) Loss of use or enjoyment of the product
• c) Loss of profits or revenue.
• Any amount exceeding the original purchase price of the product.

This Warranty supersedes all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from this Warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tokyo, Japan.

If any provision of this Warranty is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

By purchasing and registering a Miki product, the Purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions outlined in this comprehensive Limited Lifetime Warranty Policy.

In the event that a product submitted for refinishing is determined to be counterfeit, Miki Co., Ltd. reserves the right to refuse service. The product will be returned to the owner at the customer’s expense.

Furthermore, if it is determined that a third party has performed any unauthorized modifications or refinishing on the product, Miki Co., Ltd. reserves the right to deny service. The product will be returned to the owner at the customer’s expense.
